Yes, I hate not being on time. And yes, that id exactly what happened. Seems to a lot these days. Project 52 Weeks 3-4 are coming tonight. I did them each week, but didn’t get a chance to post. We are teething right now. 🙁

No. Worries! I did the same thing last year, and this year it is often a last minute hustle to get my photos up. The whole point is to stay motivated to take pictures each week for YOURSELF. Even if you post in bulk :).ReplyCancel

Little boys are a responsibility. A precious responsibility that is. I was torn this week as I contemplated the concept of responsibility, which was a suggested topic for week 2 over at Paint the Moon. Responsibility can be defined a few different ways- the duties and burdens or the position of responsibility.  I chose to play a little on both. As a mom I have way more obligations and duties then ever before, but I am also in a position to mold and shape the person that Levi becomes. Or at least instill in him values in hopes that he will choose to live with integrity- to become responsible for his choices and actions, and above all to love the Lord with all of his heart, soul, and mind. Levi, you are a precious responsibility  and a joyful responsibility. One I hope to fulfill to the best of my ability.

The 6:00 am wake up is something I that I am all too familiar with. My Project 52 post was about our “sleepless nights” with our daughter who is teething at http://www.lucasandmahina.com. Linked you to my Project 52 blog! Hope you can link me too.ReplyCancel

I love your theme! My little boy is now three (where has the time gone?!). If you’re ever looking for a great bedtime Story try “Little Boy” by Alison McGhee. It’s been our favorite since he was one. I’m also doing a project 52, if you could link me, that would be great! http://robo-family.blogspot.comReplyCancel

With New Year’s just past and all this talk about resolution this and resolution that, I decided I was not going to resolve anything, but rather challenge myself. I wanted to find something that would stretch me creatively, but not require tons of time. Something that I could enjoy, and be proud of. And so came the conclusion that I would take part in a Project 52.

It has become popular for photographers and bloggers to participate in a 52 week project that requires input once a week for the year. Once I settled on the idea, I set out to find a theme and accountability. I owe all of my inspirations to  Shawna and her awesomeness last year with her Project 52 on Motherhood. You should go to her blog and fall in love with all of her creative genius just as I have. Trust me you will be addicted to her inspiration and awed by her truthfulness and genuineness.

If you know me then you also realize I am indecisive. Therefore it took me all of 2 weeks and 3 different takes on theme before I made the final decision. And so I settled on “Little boys are…” In light of my recent name change to “Mom” I figured I wouldn’t be at a loss for photos or words on the subject, but hope that one day Levi will be able to look at this project inspired by him and know how special he is.

So here I find myself learning and loving my little boy. And I pray, I pray that he will come to know this one day.

I’m taking the challenge too! Let me know if you’d like to co-link. Otherwise, I’ll adore your site through Styleberry!)ReplyCancel

Last week I had the wonderful opportunity of photographing three lovely sisters. You may remember them from their beach photos in a post last summer. They were just as fun as ever when we set out through Pennypack to catch some shots with the quickly fading fall colors. It has been a privilege to see each sister change and grow over the past years and catch glimpses of there oh so different personalities in action. You definitely have a special bond as sisters. Girls thanks for letting me tag along and being good sports. Enjoy.

Has it really been 3 months since my last post? By now most of you probably know that we welcomed our sweet little Levi into the world on August 19th. A whole 10 days late, but just on time. I am in the process of compiling a post to introduce you to our little bundle of joy, so stay tuned with an update in the next few days.

About 2 months after we met Levi for the first time, our dear neighbors welcomed their 5th daughter- yes they have 5 girls under the age of 6 (or is it 7? )Coraline into their family. I have to be honest and admit that I was hoping for a little boy that could be Levi’s buddy, but who says they can’t still be friends right? When we moved into our home a couple years ago we were so excited to befriend this wonderful, loving family and discover they attend the church that I grew up in and that we have a number of mutual friends. Back then the 5 girls were only 3 girls and we’ve been blessed to see Jodi and Trevor joined by Juniper and Coraline  as well as glean from their masters degrees in parenting:)

When Levi went to meet his new little girlfriend, I tagged along and was able to get a few frames in of Coraline and her Momma, as well as her 4 proud older sisters. Coraline, you are such a little peanut. One day you will realize how blessed you are to be part of such a loving family. I can’t wait to watch you blossom and grow in the years to come.
